Awards for Excellence in Development

The ULI New York Awards for Excellence in Development trophies are designed and made by SITU, an unconventional architecture firm located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The fabrication process of the custom-made trophies involves plasma-cutting a section of New York’s distinctive skyline into stainless steel square tube stock. After sanding and cleaning, a vinyl mask with the award title is adhered to each tube and then sandblasted, thereby etching the text onto the surface.
